Rainy Day Outfit Guide 2016

$

So this is going to be my first blog entry for this upcoming rainy day season which is surprisingly my favorite season. Don't get me wrong though, I don't like the flood, mud and traffic hassle every time it rains in the Philippines especially here in the Metro but I love it's calmness, the gloomy weather that is relaxing for me, cuddle weather and that peace of mind it gives me - makes me want to blog more; endless blogging inspirations!

In this blog post, I will be featuring some of the outfits I like while browsing thru the internet. Payday is still kind of far so I am just bookmarking some new stuff to buy the soonest (I hope I could buy all of 'em)!

In case you have missed reading my summer outfit guide from last week.

Factorie Denim Bomber Jacket
Opt for the urban style route when you choose this denim piece from Factorie. Along with its soft-bodied construction, this laid-back number boasts pockets and a hood for added practicality.

Esprit Zip Up Hoodie
Style yourself in comfort with this hoodie from ESPRIT. Crafted from the best cotton material, this piece will definitely keep you warm and toasty through the cold season. Minimal in design, great in comfort; nothing can beat this number.

24:01 Kimono Cardigan
Infused with Japanese-style elements, 24:01 reinvents the preppy cardigan with the wide sleeves and relaxed silhouette of the kimono. Steeped in solid shade, this versatile cardigan works well with almost any outfit of your choice.

River Island Grey Crew Neck Jumper
Be prepared for the sweater weather with this comfortable jumper from RIVER ISLAND. Crafted from warm, comfortable material that will definitely keep you in the warmth and in style.

ZALORA Washed Cotton Joggers
Perfect for lazy weekend wear, these solid-coloured joggers from ZALORA would make a great addition to your collection of basics. With its ability to mesh seamlessly with most ensemble choices you can make, it would prove to be especially invaluable when you're in a rush.

River Island Stretch Slim Chino Trousers
As per usual, RIVER ISLAND proves to us yet again that it possesses both style and class. Crafted from cotton rich material, this handsome design is one that will certainly appeal to the modern gentleman.

The Academy Brand Jogger Pants
The perfect number to complete your casual look, these pants from The Academy Brand will keep your look sporty and smart, all in one go.

Folded & Hung Joggers
This pair of joggers from Folded & Hung is designed with a comfortable fit and easy to adjust drawstring waist. A perfect addition to any weekend casual wardrobe.

Caterpillar Lace-Up Boots
This pair of boots from Caterpillar is perfect for your casual ensembles. It features a suede upper fastened with tonal shoelaces.

Mendrez Boots
Lend some edge to your look with this shoes from Mendrez. Crafted with quality polyurethane and pigskin leather, this pair will finish off that handsome look.

Wade Boots
Assert that masculine attitude with these Boots from Wade. With the right style, this pair features a classic design that can go from grunge to the office.

Pretty much that's all for my rainy day outfit guide. I personally love all the tops I have featured on top but some of them are kind of pricey and I am not sure if I could wear them for multiple times without looking like a worn out clothes after couple of months or maybe years? And also, shopping online especially for clothes can be somewhat tricky because you are not sure if it is going to fit you. If not, you can always visit the nearest altering shop in your area.

Yesterday, I have tried Alteresi at Market! Market! because unfortunately, the free alter in SM Department store will just cut your item so the length will be okay for you. They don't really alter it, they just cut it and it takes them 1 freaking long hour to do it! So let's see if Alteresi can do their job well.

Wanting To Try Smirnoff Electric Apple and Electric Berry!

I am not really a heavy drinker but I love tasting different types of drinks with alcohol content in it. Occasional drinker, maybe. The best margarita I have tasted was way back in college when we dined in at Chili's Alabang. And also tried some cocktail drinks at Spicy Fingers Greenbelt. At home, we also drink our DIY margarita shots with tacos with friends while watching scary films.

After reading some of favorite blogs early in the morning today, I stumbled upon this entry about Smirnoff Electric Apple and Berry.

It sounds great! I have tasted Smirnoff during my very first Globe Unleashed Party and I kind of liked it. I also liked SanMig Apple so I think their taste might be similar somehow? That I am not sure yet.

If I have enough time this coming weekend, I might be able to try it with friends. Smirnoff Electric is available at top bars and clubs near you or if you are a fan of loud music, then you can just buy one in 7-Eleven.

Have you tasted Smirnoff Electric Apple & Berry already? What is your favorite? Any comments?

Sunday and It's Raining

So this the very first volume of my "Sunday Currently" since I have been seeing a lot of bloggers do this every week. For this entry, I am going to write about everything that's happening or anything in my head on a Sunday.

I was about to visit my apartment today to get my TV because the old one that we got here in my partner's unit is not working anymore. I was about to go out already however, it started raining and it's only 3 pm but the view outside looks like it's already 6! I think this is the official start of rainy season in the Philippines. I love gloomy days but this time, it is not in my favor because I really need to get that TV or else I might die of boredom.

Reading some blogs that also have this type of topic on their respective blogs. First on the list is siddathornton who I think started this whole thread in the blogosphere, followed by Camie from wild-spirit.

Writing a lot of stuff lately for my blog/s. I am planning to update this blog at least 3 times a week but I don't want to feel that blogging is a task I need to finish. So whatever. I will just blog if there is an urge I guess. As long as there is juice flowing in my brain.

Listening to the sound of my fan to keep me cold. I guess summer is not yet over.

Thinking about some personal stuff. There are lots of things happening lately and I am planning to write some deeper post about myself. Some sort of "Letter to myself" about love in general but not now I guess. I need more inspirations.

Wishing to have that promotion I have been waiting for. I know it's only been a year since I started working for my second job as an insurance guy but I have been doing some extra stuff designated for me lately. I will just work my ass off for that.

Wearing my comfortable belgian red devils sando my mom bought me from Belgium and my basketball short. Already prep up for some goodnight sleep.

Feeling sleepy but at the same time, there is this sudden feeling that I need to finish this post before I go to sleep. I started a draft for this at around 3PM then the rain stopped so I went to Market! Market to buy something for my pet dog, Sam. He got skin allergy called hotspot and needs to be treated. #daddyduty

Clicking on so many blogs about "sunday currently". I just simply love reading and discovering new blogs with neat layouts and has topics that I can relate to. Recently added siddathornton on my list.

So that's it for today. What about you? What are you doing now?

Click These + Monday Thoughts

Hello Monday people! As much as I want to rant about Mondays, I will just try to be more positive about it. When I was a child, I really hate Monday because I don't like going to school. I also don't like the feeling when my weekend is about to end, it is like watching the world goes to an end.

Anyway, new work week for me and this is going to be a hectic one since I will be on a training for two weeks. It is like a upgrade training for my skills at work, extra work, extra responsibility but in the end, a new opportunity for my career as an insurance guy. This training will be hard at first but I believe that I can make it!

On the other hand, I am still looking for camera that I can use in blogging. It is kind of hard to take pictures with my phone while everyone is carrying their camera. I had one before but I gave it to my mom when she went to Belgium. It was a pentax x5 bridge camera. I liked it because of its super zoom feature but  what I did not like is it needs to have 3-A batteries to work. I want something that I can charge directly though. So now, I am in search for a point and shoot camera that I can use for my photo-walk session around BGC highstreet, something that is handy but has amazing features.

Click These:
  • I just added a new blog on my inspiration list. I discovered siddathornton blog that started the sunday currently bandwagon in the blogging world. I love her minimal blog and it's not a commercialized one. #bloggoal
  • I was amazef with all the photos of Benguerra Island, a secluded African island. I just want to pack my bag and go there! Travel buddy please...
  • Jane's photos from her Porto trip encourages me to buy a camera and do some city tour around high street here in my area. I know it takes a lot of practice to take pictures like that but I will get alright I guess.
  • Ashley's blog makes me want to go back to selling stuff online aka affiliate marketing.
  • Also planning to take courses in becoming a licensed financial adviser for my part-time job. I mean I can do this during weekends. All funds will go directly to my pet dog, Samson who has a skin allergy now called hotspot that needs to be treated as soon as possible. He looks so pissed with that funny looking satellite dish around his neck.

Sunday Currently #2

I am not really into my blogging mood this week because I was so stressed with my upskill training at work. I love learning new things especially at work but there are things that I just don't get and I also don't like the feeling that I am the only one who don't get it. But for the sake of the second volume of my sunday currently, you can read the first volume here.

Reading some of my favorite blogs trying to catch up with their lives. Also backtracking some of my fave instagram feeds. Stalker mode on.

Writing a lot of blog drafts that I think I will never finish! Procrastination at its finest.

Listening to my TV background and my partner's mouse clicking. He has been so busy with his online business.

Feeling a bit sleepy. I have colds since thursday night and my nose is kind of runny, throat is rough as well. I overdose myself with lots of vitamin- c already hope it works.

Wearing my white sando and summer short short. I am planning to go to the mall later to buy some stuff and get some money at the bank. The weather is insane these past few days and I think that is one of the reasons why I am not feeling okay today. Pati weather inconsistent.

Clicking a lot of some new blogs as much as I can. It is my goal to bookmark some blogs that I find interesting. I recently added cocolapinedesign on my list for some interior inspiration.

So that's it for today. How about you, what are you up to on a hot sunday afternoon?

Tiny White Space

Hello everyone! Happy Wednesday. This day is dedicated for all things related to interior design that I truly love and if you are new here, I am into minimal design like black & white motif for small spaces since I live in a small studio type room here in the Metro with my dog so it is all about making tiny spaces look bigger.

This tiny white space inspired by IKEA caught my attention. It makes me want to redecorate my room but the problem is it is kind of hard to look for affordable furniture here in the Philippines unlike in some places where IKEA exists.

But having this kind of space is really a dream come true for me. Everything looks so clean and fresh and going home everyday from work is going to be very calming. Perfect space indeed!

Happy Friday everyone! This is going to be the very first volume of Friday Link Up where I feature some of the things I have stumbled upon during weekdays that I truly loved. Enjoy the photos and down below them, you can see some short descriptions and links where you can read more of it!
I am loving this early summer salad that is perfect for my diet since I have been trying to lose some weights lately. Last year, I took this weight gain drink and it was 100% legit. Now, I have been dying to lose some fats because of it.

Also, these all-natural furniture is definitely an eye catcher! If only I could have one at home.

I have also never imagined that there are so many ways in preparing an avocado. Gosh I love these recipes I found while browsing online. Would love to try them all!

Loving all the photos from this blog especially at the beach. Things at work have been so toxic for me. Sometimes I just want to quit and travel. My mom from Belgium wanted me to have a 3-month vacation over there but I am afraid that would be impossible because of the nature of my hectic work here in the Philippines. Maybe soon...

Watsons Finds: Cathy Doll White Heads Clay Mask & Quick Fix Tinted Moisturizer

Yesterday, I went to Market Market Mall to do some of my Sunday chores like buying shampoo and conditioner for my pet dog, Samson, buy some groceries for dinner and a lot more! I also had my Balinese whole body massage at Big Apple Express that I find very relaxing. It has been almost a year since I had a great massage experience, work has been occupying my entire life now. Right now, my goal is to save money for my future and some pocket money when I visit my mom in Belgium. I just want to share with you guys some of the things I bought from Watsons and I might write a separate blog for my personal review in the next days.

Quick FX Tinted Moisturizer
I was really impressed with the products that I had tried from Quick FX, so far, I already tried their CC Cream and No-Shine Mattifier. Have not tried their tinted moisturizer yet but I will let you know if this will work for me as well. But my favorite would be their mattifier.

Cathy Doll White Heads Cleansing Black Clay Mask
I just tried it last night nut was not satisfied at all. I am not sure if I used it correctly but it was so sticky and extremely difficult to apply. It only removed whiteheads on the nose part but on other parts, it was useless. Am I going to buy this product ever again? Probably not. And it's kind of pricey as well. :(

Dreaming to get one of these artsy wallpapers I have found online. I know that I am not really into this kind of color when it comes to designing spaces but this could be a perfect alternative in case you want something new. More wallpapers here.

Happy Friday everyone! I don't have work today because today is Canada Day; although I live in the Philippines, my clients at my day job are all from different provinces in Canada so we celebrate their holidays as well. It's been raining since Wednesday here in my place but I kinda like it! I love the gloomy weather that is perfect for short walk at the park before I go home from work and especially the cold temperature, cuddle weather it is! ;) Sharing you some of the few things I love for this week.

Dying to have one of these cool skull crafted ceramics I found on an etsy shop. And some succulents too!
I would also love to have this hanging garden full of my favorite plants! Oh I wish I have a green thumb.

Not really sure if I love this golden pineapple because it is perfect for photoshoot for my instagram account or I simple love it because I want a piece of it.

Who wouldn't love this bed setup? After a long day at work, this would be the perfect spot to relax and just drift away.

Happy Friday guys! I am so sorry I was not able to browse that much over the past few days because of my busy day at work and that is the reason why there's no "Friday Link Up" today. But do not worry because I am sure you will also love today's entry as I feature this amazing plant series by Studio Joop.
Such an inspiring art made of living plants. Imagine living and working at home like this, relaxing to a different level indeed!
Having plants at home don't just fire up it's interior, it also has a lot of benefits for you like it can make breathing easier because during photosynthesis, they absorbs carbon dioxide and at the same time, releases oxygen for you! Plants can also sharpen your focus so it is well-suited for everyone who works and study at home most of the time. source

Do you have any plants in your workplace? Any input about it?

Skin Care Product Must-Haves from The Body Shop

Sharing you for today's post some of the best skin care products that I want to try from The Body Shop. So far, these are some of the products I have used/ am using for that healthy-looking skin.

1. LIP BALM - My lip is kind of sensitive especially if I use products that are not natural. That is why I want to try TBS's moisturizing lip care. It comes with variety of delicious flavors for irresistibly kissable lips, plus the fact that they are made from 100% natural ingredients.

2. DROPS OF YOUTH - I have tried different serums and so far, the most effective for me was Kiehl's Midnight Recovery but the problem is, it is expensive. Youth Concentrate is going to be your day-to-night skincare routine. Each product in this range gives you another daily dose of more youthful-looking skin. It is also perfect for people who have large pores that needs to be closed and fine lines to be smoothed. Definitely a must try!

3. ALOE VERA - For that ever sensitive skin. TBS has fragrance-free and alcohol-free Aloe Vera products that are clinically proven to be suitable for sensitive skin and helps soothe signs of irritation. They are natural skin soother and perfect for allergy-prone, itchy or red skin.

4. TONERS - This toner lifts off the grime and make-up you can't get at with water, it also temporarily tighten pores and refreshes your skin so it's moisture ready.

How about you? Mind sharing your favorite skincare products?

Happy Wednesday my loves! I am quite disappointed about PokemonGo's servers being blocked in the Philippines right after I downloaded it on my phone. Anyway, I am hoping that they will open it soon here so I can try catch some pokemons in my area and it will definitely encourage me to walk more on my way home from work. Need to lose some fats!

Sharing you in this post these amazing photos by Bernhard Lang featuring Italy's coastline. I am loving the aerial shots that show symmetry, pattern and different summer colors of beach life. Very refreshing to the eye.

Professional Skincare Formula by Dr Alvin Did Not Work For Me

$

If you are looking for a skincare formula that is already known to minimize and rejuvenate pores, then you might want to try Professional Skincare Formula by Dr Alvin. I mentioned it before when I write something about minimizing face pores using kojic soap and I think it somehow worked for me.
I am not sure what went wrong but I developed a more sensitive skin after using Dr Alvin's kojic soap. During my first week, everything was fine. I never had any allergic reaction and as a matter of fact, I found it really effective because I saw that my skin was peeling a bit and pores were closing little by little. But on my second week, I noticed that my skin was more sensitive than before. Like it always felt itchy and when I scratch it even a bit, there will be red spots all over my face.

I also made sure that I don't get exposed to direct sunlight as per the instruction so I don't think that the sun causes the red spots so I decided to stop using it.

I am not really against the formula but I think, it is very important to choose what's best for our skin. Using exfoliating products like this might be effective to some people (read Chien's review) but it is also a risky routine if you'll ask me.

As of now, I went back to my old routine, St. Ives Blemish Control Apricot Scrub and Cetaphil (alternate).

How about you? Does Professional Skincare Formula by Dr Alvin works for you? You can write your review on the comment section down below.

Spring 2016 Trend Check- Things Worth Investing In

$

Most fashionistas know the love for runway trends. Every season, it’s a wait to see the best of fashion unfold on the ramp. Spring 2016 collections were revealed last year, and a lot has already been written about the trending ideas. However, if you are on a budget, you would need to find the most wearable and effective ideas. This is a post that talks of all the essentials worth investing for spring, along with some fun ideas to glam up your closet.

The button-down with a twist: We all have that one button-down white shirt, which easily shifts from the workplace to the casual outings. However, for spring, many designers worked with unique ideas, giving the basic design a quick twist. The white shirts in spring collections were all about using many ideas. From lace and ruffles to cut-outs and even sheer materials, there were quite a few ideas.  White shirts are great for the fall too, so this is more like an investment for your wardrobe.

The amazing wrap skirt: After a long time, wrap skirts made way to the runways in a variety of different approaches. From a slit to use of muted and often subtle colors, there was something for all. You can check top collections of Andrew Gn, Carven, and Michael Kors to name a few. Keep a check on the hemlines, which fluctuated from being simple, A-line to more asymmetrical designs. Wrap skirts were once reserved for the casual outings, but with the current tweaks, you can even wear one at work.

The stripes gone bold: Bold and colorful stripes was one of the best trends this year seen at some of the biggest shows including that of Christian Dior, Alexander Wang and Max Mara. If you are fond of simpler stripes, you should see a few looks at Elie Saab, DKNY, and Tommy Hilfiger. Stripes work wonders when you wear a dress or simple skirt with a monotone top. Whatever you choose, make sure to limit the accessories, so that you can avoid a cluttered look. Complete your look with a pair of simple sneakers and a nice pair of shades. For summer sneakers, click here.

The love for pleats: Pleats, in the more functional ways, emerged as the leading trend this season, and it was great to find so many unique ideas. From the colorful skirts to the more sculptural dresses, this is one runway idea that looked amazing in varied forms. Just add the right twists of a statement necklace or a good pair of danglers, and you are good to go for a fun day with the girls. You can find a few pleat looks at Gucci, Carolina Herrera and Emilio Pucci.

Until we have another round of fashion talk, stay happy!

Life Lately + Supermarket Snaps

It's Monday again and I want to start my week right by writing a "Life Lately" blog entry. I think I need to blog more about my life because I don't want to overwhelm you guys with fashion post full of affiliate links perhaps, this also serves as my outlet, semi-personal blog.

fruits photography at supermarket

Every time I go to supermarket, I tend to take a lot of photos in my VSCO cam but mostly, for my snapchat updates. I don't know but I really love the colors there specially the fruits section.

fruits photography at supermarket
I am in love with the colors.
You might also notice that I am starting to blog some wordy posts like how to's and product reviews because I analyzed my previous posts and noticed that people love reading wordy and informative posts. I enjoy posting something about interior design and linkies on this blog but I guess they don't work at all. Maybe I'll try posting some once in a while but moving forward, expect some skincare tips and helpful tutorials in the next few weeks.

supermarket photography

Not really a blog traffic freak but I guess this is going to be for my blog's growth as well and of course, trying to be more informative as a blogger. I am still trying to find my niche but I think maintaining a blog that is focused on one thing is not my forte. I tried so many times but did not work. And that is the main reason why I have this blog. Very random just like me.

Sharing you my favorite dish from Banapple Hickory Ribs!
Have you noticed my new blog's theme? I bought it for only $5 and I am telling you, this is the best theme that I have purchased so far! Plus the fact that it is really easy to personalize. I tweaked some codes a bit but overall, I am 100% satisfied!

Currently Using Whitelight Sublingual Glutathione Spray

Hello awesome blog readers! In this post, I will share you this new product that I have been using for a week now. It is called Whitelight Sublingual Glutathione that I bought in LAZADA for only 1,500 pesos. It is quite cheaper compared to other online shops because I saw it somewhere online as well but it costs around 2,000+ pesos (for the same exact product). I think I prefer buying stuff in Lazada now because I am saving money compared to buying at the mall like for example, the Snowcaps Glutathione that I bought in Watsons for 1,500 where you can purchase the same exact thing online for only 1,040 pesos. Big savings indeed!

whitelight sublingual glutathione

From the root word sublingual that means under the tongue, it is a method of administering substances orally and in this manner, the substance will rapidly and effectively absorb by our body compared to taking it in using capsules or tablets. And it is also not dangerous even if you overdose yourself with this substance since glutathione is a common compound that can be found in our body.

whitelight sublingual gluta spray

It is exclusively distributed by AIM or Alliance in Global, a networking company in the Philippines in some other countries worldwide.

Directions in using Whitelight Sublingual Glutathione Spray
  1. Shake well before using.
  2. Spray twice under the tongue three times a day.
  3. Hold under the tongue for 20 seconds prior to swallowing.

Well, this is a very easy to take everyday. I am not really into having whiter skin but I like the fact that it has a lot of vitamin-c that my body needs since I don't eat fruits in a daily basis. And also, this serves as an anti-aging formulas for me as well so as I grow in numbers, I can be assured that I don't age badly. As early as now, it is very important to take substances that our body needs and natural compounds that decreases as we age.

I have been using it for a week now but I don't see any results yet, the bottle will last for 2 months so I still have a lot of days to try it. I will definitely update you with this product.

Amazing Benefits & Side Effects of Whitelight Sublingual Glutathione

I am in the journey of finding the best glutathione in the Philippines and willing to try some of them. My goal is not to have whiter skin but to a healthy and smoother skin that lasts as I age. Since I am not getting any younger, as early as now, I want to invest in products that will benefit my body from the inside & out.

fairer korean skin

As of now, I already tried several glutathione products which I already posted on the blog, so far, one of my favorites is Snowcaps L-Glutathione Supplement. I also liked my experience with Metathione Whitening Capsule but it is more expensive but has the same effect as Snowcaps.

It's been more than a week since I tried Whitelight Sublingual Spray and I find it amazing! What's good about it is that it's very convenient to use, you don't have to take huge capsules down your throat because it is a spray on. I use it right after meal time to take it's effect. At first, I don't see any effect at all but after more than one week, I noticed that my skin is getting smoother and also my hands are softer and not feeling dry compared in the past.

As for the side effects, well I don't notice it yet. I don't feel sleepy or some sort of allergic reaction to it. Everything is just fine. And as far as I know, there is no such thing as glutathione overdose because technically, it is something that is naturally in our body so it is okay to spray more than the usual.
